Pets / Animals Favorite Photos -- We all take pictures and put them away in an album - to be seldom seen again - wouldn’t it be great to take that one special moment and create a work of art that you can enjoy everyday. Create the Scene -- Even if you do not have that singular perfect photo, there is hope. I can usually combine photos to design a complete composition or we can arrange different photos together. It really makes me happy when I can create your artwork and give you something that will touch your heart everyday. Just Imagine -- I always strive to capture a likeness and the personality of the subject matter in your painting. That spark or personality is what will keep your artwork fresh, enjoyable and inspiring. When looking through your pictures, consider the more casual, where the subject is not looking directly at the camera. Some of my favorite pieces have actually been from the back of the people and it really captures the mood well. You are more like a spectator to the moment, a real special feeling. The Process -- Creating your custom watercolor is fun and easy. Your first decision is of course – the subject matter along with selecting a size. Once you have gathered your photos together, either sketch out or write out clearly what you want and mail it to me along with your photos. Remember, I can combine photos or parts of photos, change clothing, backgrounds, etc. Since you will be providing what are sometimes less than perfect photos, please enclose many other photos that will help me see features, colors and any other items you want to be included. The more you send the better. We can easily discuss this over the phone and I can make suggestions or recommendations. If you are taking pictures to send me, try to take outside with slightly overcast day being ideal. I can usually compensate for harsh shadows. If you do not want to risk mailing your cherished photos, either scan and email or have color copies made at Kinko’s and mail those. In any case, I would suggest making a copy for yourself of the photos you send so when we discuss your pictures we can refer to them. See Price List Back to Watercolor Page |
