Most common sizes:
8 x 10      starts at $195. (single subject)
11 x 14    starts at $275. (single subject)
16 x 20    starts at $425. (single subject)

Adding other subjects and image complexities will be an additional cost. I will need to see  the photos you want me to work from and discuss your composition concept. Once I have this information, I can give you a quote within 48 hours. Larger sizes are available, but I will need to see photos and discuss composition with you and what you want in the art.  On quote and layout sketch approval, half down payment is due to get started.

If we are creating an art image that incorporates several photos, I will provide a quick sketch for your approval and will discuss any image concerns that may affect your final art. When finished, I will email you a photo of your art and if there are any minor things that need to    be altered, I can probably do without any problem or additional costs.

Likeness Acceptance: Creating art from photos can at times be very challenging. My technique must create definition and shadowing in order to create a likeness. In photos, the image is sometimes continuous tone and smooth which is hard to attain and generally not what you want anyway. I strive for a good likeness, but my art is not intended to be photo realistic. Remember I am working from one or just a few photos and I have to try and capture that subject’s personality. Please check out my samples on my website and sample books to compare photos I have worked from and see the end result. Note: the images of my art in the sample book or website are about 90% color accurate of the original art. The original art usually has better color and a little clearer focus.

Your photos:   Ideal pictures are taken outside in hopefully indirect light or shadows. This helps define the facial features better. Indoor flash photos are difficult because it flattens out the features. I must then create the shadowing and add color. (see examples on website and sample book of this). I understand that sometimes the only photos available to work from are inside flash pictures. In that case, I will discuss the issues and how the final art will be created so you know what to expect when I am finished. My goal is create art that you are happy with and can enjoy for generations.

Art pricing does not include framing, but I can give you a quote to do the mat and framing if you wish.
